I’m guessing that you’re selling one or dozens of products on the Amazon marketplace, otherwise, you wouldn’t be reading this.
You’re probably making sales here and there, but it seems like a fluke, or even worse, you’re not even making any sales at all and it’s so demoralising when you put so much effort into your listing, your product design, and then when you go and check your sales data and, yes some sales are coming in, but it’s nowhere near where you want to be.
The dream is just to be making money in your sleep, isn’t it?

And to know that you’ll be attracting your ideal buyers every single time with a repeatable process where there’s no guesswork.
So this blog post is all about how to easily get discovered for your main keywords on Amazon in 24 hours using Helium 10 Index Checker.
Sound good?

So what is indexing?
If you’re being indexed, basically it means that when a customer types in a keyword into the search bar on Amazon, it’ll bring up your particular product.
For instance, if, for me, who is a book publisher, if I created a space activity book for kids, I would want it to be that when a customer searches “space activity books for kids” in Amazon, our activity book comes up.

That means Amazon has indexed our space activity book for kids and thinks that it aligns with the search term.
Got it?
If your product is NOT indexed with the right words, your customers will end up getting your competitors’ products and not yours so you’re going to miss out on sales. Who wants that? Ermm nobody.

So you want it to be indexed for the highest searched for and or the most relevant keywords and with purchase intent, otherwise, you’re going to miss out on so much traffic.
Moral of the story is, being indexed for relevant keywords is the key to your success.
How do we check which keywords our product is indexed for?
One way is that we could type in our main/desired keyword into Amazon ourselves and see what comes up.
If I was to just type in “space activity book for kids” and saw that our product comes up, then we know that Amazon has deemed that this is a relevant indexed search term.
They’re happy with what the customer searches and that our product comes up.
But this process could take ages and you don’t know which are the best keywords in the first place, and at the end of the day, you don’t want to be spending all your time doing something when there’s a much easier way of doing it, right?
Another way of doing it is we could use Helium 10, and I personally use this every single day. I genuinely wouldn’t be without this in my business.
What is Helium 10 used for?
It’s like an all-in-one tool for any Amazon seller, one simple easy-to-use dashboard, where you can manage everything. It stores your data so you don’t lose it.

If you need any help or want to get regular tips and tricks on how to use Helium 10, head over to their website here.
Helium 10 Index Checker.
Helium 10’s Index Checker quickly identifies not only whether a word or phrase is indexed, but also how Amazon indexes it.
So let’s see Helium 10 Index Checker in action, and literally how I use it.
So what I would do first is I would want to see if my books would be discovered for certain keywords with my book publishing business. I would identify the keywords I want to be indexed for by using Helium 10 Magnet or Helium 10 Cerebro
Let’s pretend we want to make sure we show up for ‘Space Activity Book for Kids’ when a customer searches for it on Amazon.
This would be our FIRST keyword that I would be checking against our product. (to use Helium 10 index checker, we just need to use our ASIN and paste it into the tool)
So Magnet is an overall keyword research tool. It’s very, very good, so I’ve got a blog that explains this in a lot more detail.
Or I’d use Helium 10 Cerebro, which is a reverse ASIN tool, which basically means I would type in the keyword that I want to be indexed for, so say, like, “space activity books for kids”, look at the top 10 best sellers, then I would see all the words that they’re indexed for and I would pick the most relevant to me, because I know that they’re already working because these books as they are the best sellers and I would want to make sure that I’m being indexed for those.

Then, I pick about 10 or 15 of the best keywords for me, (You can use Helium 10 Frankenstein tool to easily sort these to save you LOADS of time) just to make sure that I’m really hitting the most searched for words in my particular niche.
The 15 best keywords I want to make sure I am being indexed for my ‘Space Activity Book for Kids’ book.
space books for kids
space books for children age 5
space colouring book
kids space book
space books for children age 7
space activity book
books about space for kids
space book kids
solar system kids
space colouring books for children
toddler space book
space colouring
book on space for kids
outer space book
childrens space book
Let’s check, shall we?
Step 1.

My result:
*Where there isn’t a ‘tick’, it means we don’t get indexed for it.

As you can see, my product ‘Space Activity Book for Kids’ IS being indexed for pretty much ALL of my desired keywords. (Apart from ‘book on space for kids’ – so I need to get that in the listing)
As a KDP Seller, I don’t have a Storefront, so that won’t apply for me, that’s for Amazon FBA sellers.
Why did I index for these? Because I am a genuine Helium 10 customer who used the Index checker beforehand.
What if I am NOT being indexed?
Well, this is where you can, instead of guesswork, know which words you need to add to your title, your subtitle, your description, and your backend keywords.
Within about 24 to 48 hours, Amazon will start the process of indexing THEM.
Helium 10
Now, I’ll be honest. At first, when I saw videos on Helium 10, I thought, “I bet it’s going to be too expensive” But you can pick which plan is best for you, starting from around £30 a month (which I have), to about £75 a month for the entire plan.
But to be honest, you’ll easily make that investment back really, really quickly and once you start using it to its full potential, you’ll realise that you wouldn’t be without it.
I wouldn’t be without it now.
I’m a bit of a technophobe and I thought something like Helium 10 would be really, really complicated. You feel like it should be intimidating and I’m normally really put off with things that are really complicated, but it’s really easy to get started.
Because it’s all in one dashboard, I personally bookmark that dashboard and I also have the Chrome extension so you can click it anytime and it keeps all your previous keyword searches.
It will become your most used Chrome extensions, or your bookmarks, whichever way you want to do.

Once you start your business, you really won’t want to be without it. But plus, what I also find is there are so many YouTube videos for each individual tool, like you’ve heard me mention Helium 10 Magnet, Cerebro, there’s also Scribbles, Frankenstein, but there are YouTube videos for each one where you can maximize your profits.
I thought it would be too long to set up, but it’s pretty instant, to be honest. I had no problems, and as I said, I’m a real technophobe. I would recommend this to people that I know.
I’ve also been really impressed with the support or the customer service. They’re really, really quick and they’ve always been able to help me with any questions or any queries, and most of the time, if I’ve had a question, it’s been sorted within one interaction so I can’t fault them at all
I think, when something feels like it should be expensive, you’re always scared about being tied into a long running contract, but with this, you can cancel any time or you can up your plan or you can reduce your plan, just depending on when your budget suits.
But they also give you so many free searches a day or a month depending on which tool it is, so I think Magnet, they give you two FREE searches a day, so even with the lowest plan, you can still get a lot done.

And the thing is, even if you’re not sure, which is completely understandable, they’ve given me a discount code that I can give out so it’s either 50% on your first month so just give it a trial, but I can, hand on my heart, say that I wouldn’t be without Helium 10 and I don’t know of any other software that has so many tools all in one go.
This has just been vital for my business.
Or you can get 10% off every single month, so it’s just up to you which one you would use, really, but by doing this with your indexing, you’ll be guaranteed to be setting yourself up for success every single time and there’ll be no more guesswork, so I wish you all the luck in your business and generally would 100% recommend Helium 10.
